Who is responsible
Republic of Investors is published by its editorial team, which is responsible for personal information collected through this site.
Contact is by form. To make a privacy enquiry, use the enquiry form, choose “Other” and put “Privacy request” in the business name field. Include the email address associated with your earlier submission, but do not send identity documents.
What we collect
When you apply, we collect your name, email, country, investor profile, introduction and any website link you choose to share. When you submit an opportunity, we collect your name, email, business name, opportunity type, description and optional link. We also record your consent to being contacted about your submission.
Our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, which can include an IP address, request details and error logs. The forms use a hidden field and elapsed time to help reject automated submissions.
Why we use it
We use form details to review and respond to your application, opportunity or enquiry. We rely on the consent you give when submitting the form. You can withdraw that consent through the enquiry form. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it.
We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable website for essential technical processing and abuse prevention. We do not add form submissions to a marketing list, sell personal information or make membership decisions solely by automated processing.
Where your details go
This site is designed to be hosted on Vercel. Form submissions are delivered to the publisher through Discord. The people reviewing applications and enquiries, and the service providers needed to host the site and deliver those submissions, may process your details.
Those providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Their applicable data protection terms govern that processing and any international transfer arrangements. You can ask us about the providers and safeguards used for your submission through the enquiry form.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry while it is being considered and for as long as reasonably needed to deal with related correspondence. We consider whether the discussion is still active, whether you have joined the community and whether a legal obligation or dispute requires a record. Details that are no longer needed should be deleted. You can ask us to delete your submission.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct or erase your information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests or receive information you have supplied in a portable format. Some rights have legal exceptions. We may need to verify that a request comes from the right person.
Use the enquiry form to exercise these rights. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and your edition preference
We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or third-party scripts on this site. The day or night edition you select is saved in your browser’s local storage. It is not sent to us. You can clear it in your browser settings. Fonts are served from this site, not fetched from Google when you visit.
