Hadri
Thirteen countries.
One way of working.
I'm Mohamed El Hadri. People call me Hadri. I open offices, build teams and get projects off the ground in places most people only visit on holiday. Here's where I've been and what it taught me.

01 · Spain and France
Where it started.
I'm Spanish. I grew up in Spain and moved to the south of France as a teenager. At university in Perpignan I started my first business, Plansam, a ride service for students. It got bought by a bigger player in the market. I've been building things ever since.

Learning it the hard way.
I landed in London with broken English. I learned construction on the tools, then built a property maintenance company working for housing associations and letting agents, with a network of subcontractors behind it. Site visits, late callouts, clients who pay late, subbies who vanish. I've handled all of it. That's where I learned to run a project: one person owns it, and that person picks up the phone.
03 · Recruitment
Twelve countries, one client at a time.
British construction companies needed workers. I found them. A client asked me to open an office in Spain and recruit for his sites, and it grew from there. I started with one guy in the Philippines. Then came Morocco, Lebanon, Cyprus, Romania, Poland, Portugal, Moldova, India and Mexico. Recruiters, admin and sales teams across 12 countries, all working for clients in the UK.
What it taught me: hire for attitude, train the rest, and never let one client become the whole business.
04 · Cyprus
The office in Paphos.
I opened an office in Paphos. Why Cyprus? Native English speakers, cheaper than the UK, and an easy sell to people who were tired of the UK and fancied a life by the sea. That's how you choose a location: where the people are, what they cost, and why they'd want to come.
05 · Lebanon
Hiring in a crisis.
I built a team in Lebanon while the country was going through its banking crash. Banks frozen, the currency falling. We paid wages in stablecoin so people got paid on time, every time. It was the best team I've hired anywhere. I still miss Lebanon.
06 · Japan
The office ahead of the clock.
A client of mine watched a documentary about Japanese work culture. Smart, productive, disciplined. One day he called me: "I want a Japanese office for my recruitment business. When I wake up in the morning, the work is already done." Japan is hours ahead of the UK, so he had a point.
I started setting up the company in Japan. Put ads out everywhere, ran the interviews, met the people. A culture completely new to me, and crazy good. We got it through. Beautiful.
07 · Mexico and Costa Rica
Running it from anywhere.
In 2020 I flew to Mexico, then down to Costa Rica, and ran the whole operation from there. That's when I learned a business doesn't need you in the building. It needs people you trust and a way of working they can follow without you.
08 · Canada and the US
A second home.
Toronto is family for me. In 2026 I spent weeks between Canada and the US, working and meeting people. North America gets the same thing everyone gets from me: a straight answer and someone who turns up.
09 · Today
Two continents, one phone.
Today my back office runs from Tangier and I'm based between Morocco and Spain. I build software for trades businesses, I run teams across two continents, and I take on a few projects a year where someone needs me on the ground.
I also wrote a book: MIDDLEMAN. It is how I work, on paper.
